In today’s Cecil Whig (Sept. 9, 2008), the lead editoral says in part::
“But what gives Elk Landing its charm is this very buffer zone of open land between the historic house and busy Route 40. The town should be working to protect its potentail tourism assets, not destroy them. While the town of Elkton deservs praise for looking into building a recreation center, it needs to find a better location. Surely there is more Program Open Space funding avilable to purchase a more suitable location closer to residential neighhborhoods. The town might also look into maintaining the facilites it already owns . . . ”

i agree. elkton should focus on what it already has and make it better. there is potential here, just step it up Elkton.
