We were pleased to see an interesting photograph and announcement over on the Bill Hughes Gazette, as we caught up on the Cecil County news on the Internet this morning. In a post titled “Bookworms Welcome”Bill has let us know about a new bookstore at Landing Lane and Route 40 in Elkton. Bill, one of our outstanding Cecil County photojournalist, caught Elkton’s new bookseller working behind the counter of his new shop on opening day.
Reading and book collecting is something that’ s important to us so we’ll become a regular at this retailers shop. Our last bookshop on Main Street goes back a couple decades. In the late 1970s, the Bookbarn opened in the center of Elkton and was there serving the needs of readers into the late 1980s.
Bill thanks for continuing to bring home valued local content to readers on the Net and Paul we’ll rush down to add some reading material to our library. If you have Sunday hours, we’ll be there today. Also we’ll be happy to post your hours and any special information you have here.
Go over to the link above to see this excellent image and to read the full announcement. Bill has a number of fine Cecil County photos on that site, including the Bicentennial Tree, Ron the Mailman and lots more.
