That very important subject of what the town tax rate will be for the upcoming fiscal year is under consideration by the Mayor and Commissioners at Wednesday evening’s meeting. (Sessions start at 7:00 p.m., at the town hall.) In March, the town administration recommend that the commissioners take the full tax rate, which is a levy that increases taxes about 8.3% on citizens. Last year when the administration recommended an increase, the commissioners disagreed and kept a flat rate, which didn’t result in an additional tax burden on its citizens.
