Foxy’s Blog: Senior Cats for Senior People: Free Adoptions!

From Foxy’s Blog:  Spokesdog of the Cecil County SPCA

The cats in the open cat room here at the CCSPCA have been demanding equal time on this blog. So here’s a post from a ‘guest blogger’– Momma, a gray cat of a certain age….Love, FOXY
———————
HI! I’m Momma, a resident feline at the CCSPCA who is looking for a forever home. I delivered a litter of kittens right after I came here as a stray. All my babies were adopted but I’m still here. I’ve taken some of the other youngsters in the cat room under my paws and given them a mother’s love until they, too, found families to live with.

There are quite a few of us older guys and gals in the cat room who would make really great companions for senior citizens of the human variety.

So for the month of October, senior citizens age 65 and over can adopt a senior cat for FREE! All of us felines have been spayed/neutered, have all our shots and have been tested for various nasty diseases– which we don’t have!

Senior humans, come visit us older cats and take one of us home for free!

I’M BACK! THAT’S RIGHT THAT WARM, FUZZY, SOFT, CUDDLY HISTORY TEACHER THAT EVERYONE LOVES TO HATE IS BACK! THEY FINALLY DECIDED TO LET ME OUT OF MY CAGE FOR GOOD BEHAVIOR.

HAS ANYONE SEEN THE CECIL WHIG IS RUNNING PET OBITUARIES NOW!? THAT IS THE DUMBEST THING I’VE EVER HEARD OF!!!!! ONE OF MY MORON FORMER STUDENTS MUST OF COME UP WITH THAT IDEA! DANG, THE CECIL WHIG GETS MORE AND MORE PATHETIC EACH DAY!

  2. Dear Crazy One,
Well, we missed you! Guess your cage was of the padded variety but glad you have been liberated.
Oh cranky one, pet obituaries are not a bad idea. People need to grieve for a pet and this is a way of doing that. And of course, the Whig makes money out of it, which is really why they started running them.

We haven’t seen your postings on the blog for a bit, so I thought that perhaps the back to school activities had occupied all your time or you’d lost interest in Elkton politics.

Do some of your former students work at the Whig?
