We’re blogging live from the town hall meeting at the Singerly Fire Hall hosted by Delegate Smigiel and Senators Pipkin so they may hear from citizens about two controversial bills. One concerns allowing voters to determine if deputies should have binding arbitration, while the other puts a tax cap on the property assessment in Cecil county. Over two hours into the meeting there are still about 100 people here offering plenty of comments on binding arbitration and the tax cap
We’ll have a full update on this later.
Don’t worry! Smigiel and Pipkin are just good ol’ boys ain’t meanin’ no harm. Just fightin’ the system like two modern day Robin Hoods…
ROSCO GET ME THEM DUKE BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, we thought you’d abandoned Someone Noticed for other blogs and websites Teacher. Suspect lots would disagree with you about “boys ain’t meaning no harm.”
Crazy one, are you just trying to pull our leg as you make a dramatic re-entry to the blog? Smigiel and Pipkin have a long history of trying to do “harm” to the county commissioners. And isn’t this an election year, in which they want to get their own friends onto the board as well as get themselves re-elected? Anyway, nice to see you back (but I miss the kangeroo face picture).
