Rob Alt, a former mayor of Elkton, has announced that he has filed to seek the 36th district senate seat held by EJ Pipkin. As a Democrat he would go up against Pipkin in the fall general election. News about the candidacy started appearing on social networking sites yesterday and they have continued today after the candidate completed the forms. In addition, Cecil Times has tweeted about it.
