Press Release from Cecil County Government . . . .
Elkton, MD – The Board of Cecil County Commissioners unanimously adopted Ordinance 2011-03, an amendment to Chapter 160 County Commissioners Policies and Procedures; Regular Meetings, at their February 15, 2011 Commissioners meeting held in the Cecilton Town Hall. The amendment to Chapter 160 of the Cecil County Code eliminates the rotating Commissioner meetings that were scheduled throughout the year in one of our incorporated municipalities; establishes a worksession meeting schedule; and identifies our website and a public area for the posting of meeting agenda notices.
Starting Tuesday, March 1, 2011, monthly public Commissioner meetings will be held in the Elk room of the Cecil County Administration Building, 200 Chesapeake Blvd., Elkton, which eliminates the public meetings that were scheduled on a rotating basis in our local municipalities. Additionally, Commissioner worksession meetings, scheduled on most every Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m., will be held in the Elk room and audio recorded. All meeting agendas will be posted on our website and in a display case located at the front entrance of our building. The decision to move the Commissioner public and worksession meetings to the Elk room was made in order to use the technology available to provide the public with an audio recording of meetings when possible.
The revised Commissioners public meeting schedule and access to the audio recording of the worksession and public meetings is available on our website at http://www.ccgov.org. If you have any questions or need more information, please contact Vicky Rinkerman in the Commissioners’ Office via phone at 410.996.5201, or email vrinkerman@ccgov.org.
