The County Commissioners workshop session, Tuesday, Feb 22, beginning at 9 a.m. in the county administration building, includes a few items of broad public interest.
Included on the list is a request to waive building permit fees for two projects. One is a “96-unit workforce housing project on Belle Hill Road” and the other is for connection and building permit fees for Habitat for Humanity home ownership.

The board will then shut the door to the public as they go into a closed session. There’s one at 11:00 a.m. to discuss collective bargaining. The second closed door meeting concerns the “proposal for a business or industrial organizaiton to locate, expand, or remain in the state. Participating in that private session with county officials is Penn National Gaming.
At 4 p.m., the commissoners will let the public back in as they discuss the plan to allocate casino revenue for county projects.
