Press Release — Ted Kolodzey Files Candidacy for Cecil Co Commissioner

Rising Sun, MD – Friday, April 9, 2010 —  Rising Sun town resident Ted Kolodzey filed today to run for Cecil County Commissioner in District 3.  On why he’s running Ted said, “We need County Commissioners who will ensure fiscal responsibility, support job growth by cutting taxes, and bring neighborhoods together to fight crime.  I’m prepared to make that happen as a Commissioner.”

Kolodzey also added: “I am a strong believer in community and the right for people to live their lives the way they see fit. While government plays a necessary role in our society, it should play a limited role and interfere as little as possible.”

The Friends of Ted Kolodzey are hosting a “Meet the Candidate” reception on Saturday, May 1st, 2010 at 9am. The reception will be held at Wesley’s Restaurant located at 3700 Telegraph Road, Elkton, MD 21921. Ticket prices are $20 per person. Sponsorships are available.  All are cordially invited to attend to support Ted’s candidacy.

Kolodzey has experience working in the private sector and is currently employed at Tiffin Athletic Mats as the Creative Supervisor.  Prior to working at Tiffin Ted was a graphic designer with The Wilmington News Journal.  He also works as a freelance toy designer for various movies and toy lines such as Transformers and John Deer among others.  Ted is a graduate of the University of Delaware, receiving a B.S. in July of 2007 in Visual Communications.

Ted is an active member of the Cecil County Patriots and participates in local politics, attending tea parties and group meetings across the county and state. Ted currently lives in downtown Rising Sun with his wife and daughter.
